Safe Tanning

Tanning responsibly is at the heart of what we do. A quick, honest guide to using our sunbeds safely — how often, when to hold off, and when to check with your doctor.

Our Commitment

Tanning done responsibly

Every bed we run is fully 0.3 compliant, we're proud members of The Sunbed Association, and we operate a strict 18+ policy. Our certified team will always help you find a sensible session time for your skin — but here are the basics worth knowing before you tan.

Responsible Tanning

The measures we take

We'd always rather you tanned safely than quickly. Here's how we look after you at every session.

Free eye protection, every session

We provide protective goggles free of charge — worn for the whole session, every time. Simply closing your eyes isn't enough.

Beginners start at 3 minutes

New to tanning? We start you at just 3 minutes at a time so your skin can build a base safely.

Up to 18 minutes for experienced tanners

More advanced tanners with a darker skin tone can build up to a maximum of 18 minutes.

48 hours between sessions

We recommend leaving at least 48 hours between visits, so your skin has time to recover.

When Not To Tan

Please don't use a sunbed if…

…any of the below applies to you — or check with your GP or pharmacist first. If you're ever unsure, just ask our team; we'd always rather you were safe.

You're under 18

It's the law, and we never make exceptions.

You burn easily

Very fair skin that always burns and rarely tans isn't suited to UV tanning.

You have many moles or freckles

Please speak to your GP before tanning.

Skin cancer history

If you've had skin cancer, or it runs in your family.

You take certain medication

Some antibiotics, antidepressants and skin treatments increase UV sensitivity — check with your GP or pharmacist.

You use sensitising products

Creams, cosmetics or perfumes that increase sensitivity to light.

You're pregnant

Please check with your midwife or GP first.

You're sunburnt or unwell

Never tan on burnt skin, or if a condition of yours is made worse by sunlight.

If Something Doesn't Feel Right

Watch for these — and speak up

Stop if your skin reacts

If your skin becomes red, sore, blistered or itchy, stop tanning and give it time to recover.

Check any changes to a mole

See your GP or a pharmacist if a mole changes in size, shape or colour, or a mark won't heal.

Always tell our team

If you've had any reaction, let us know — we'll happily pause or adjust your sessions.
